CAMPBELL-REA Families by Florence Spicer, 1973. David CAMPBELL and Ann REA are the subjects of the this book. Their son Rea Campbell (1823-1867) married Jane Ann WHITE (1832-1925), his second wife, in 1848.  Jane's ancestors are James Morrow WHITE, Jacob WHITE, James WHITE,  William WHITE.

122. IV. CHARLES LUTELLUS, born at Beverly, Washington Co., Pa. on April 9, 1840. He married (1) at

Greenwood, Jackson Co., Mo., April 2, 1868, Frances E. Higley who was born at Rutland, Ohio

Oct.24, 1846 and died in Greenwood, Mo. on March 8, 1869, the daughter of Julius B. Higley and

Lorna Fuqua. He married (2) in Cambridge, Guernsey Co., Ohio on Aug.14, 1872, Mary E.

Morton who was born Oct.31, 1841. Charles was a Farmer and an Agent for the M.P.&C. Railway

at Cambridge, Ohio.

123. V. OBADIAH JENNINGS, born in Beverly, Washington Co., Ohio on Dec.18, 1842. He married in

Greenwood, Jackson Co., Mo. on April 22, 1869, Ruth Wilson. He was a Farmer and resided at

Greenwood, Mo. He died there on May 4, 1880 and was a Republican and a Baptist.

128. X. MARY EMILY, born Dec.12, 1854, married at Canton Twp., Washington Co., Pa. on Aug.22,

1889, Robert P. Johnston, who was born at Washington Co., Pa. on Oct.19, 1838 and died there

April 1, 1904 and was the son of Robert Johnston and Isabel McCohaney.

[35] CAMPBELL, SAMUEL B., (6), born in Ohio, May 14,1810 or 1811, married JANE McGUGAN (no.1),

· whose grandfather, Daniel McGugan was born in the Highlands of Scotland or else in Ireland. He (Daniel) sailed to America from Bristol, being on the water for four weeks. Me married ANNA_____, who lived in Valley Forge, Pa. during the Revolutionary War, (their family hid their saddles from the British under the hay but the British found them anyway). Daniel died June 10, 1787 and is buried, as is Anna, at Buffalo, Pa. The children of Daniel McGugan and Anna are: Daniel, Jr., born in 1771, married Ellen~~~ and died at West Mlddleton, Pa. on Jan.21, 1852; Joseph, died at Irontown, Ohio; James, died in 1814 and was buried at sea; Elizabeth, married Mr. Robb and died in Kentucky; Agnes, married John Cloud; Mary, born in Hickory, Pa. and died at Hookstown, Pa.; and David, born at Mt. Pleasant, Pa. on May 7, 1775 and married Jane Vincent on May 12th in 1799 or 1800. He died Feb. 2, 1861 and is buried at Mt. Prospect Cemetery. The children of David McGugan and Jane Vincent are: Daniel, born at Hickory, Pa. on April 3, 1801 and married Elizabeth Campbell May 3, 1832 and died in his 90's at Danville, Ohio; James, born in Hickory, Pa. on April 29, 1811 and married Matilda Campbell and died before 1881 at Mt. Prospect, Pa.; JANE, born at Hickory, Pa. on Oct.17, 1813 and married Samuel B. Campbell and died before 1881 at Mt. Prospect, Pa.; David, born at Hickory, Pa. on March 19, 1816 and died April 24, 1817; Anne, born at Hickory, Pa. on July 2, 1818; David (although the fourth child was also named David, he died and the next boy was named David after him) born at Hickory, Pa. on March 25, 1821 and died in 1832; Alexander Vincent, born at Hickory, Pa. on March 29, 1823 and married on April 21, 1856 at Buffalo, Pa. to Ester Donaldson. He died at Hickory, Pa. Mary, born at Hickory, Pa. on April 10, 1827 and married David Ross, died about 1900 at W. Middleton, Pa.

Samuel B. Campbell died on June 29, 1890 in Cross Creek, Washington Co., Pa. He was the son of David Campbell and Ann Rea.

129. I. AMANDA, born Oct.26, 1835, married William S. McCreary. She died Aug.23, 1874 and is buried in Cross Creek Cemetery, Washington Co., Pa.

130. II. ELLEN HODGENS, born in 1836, married James M. Patterson.

131. III. SARAH, born 1845, died in Cross Creek Twp., Washington Co., Pa. on Aug.27, 1867, age 22.
