Elizabeth GIBSON
Names of parents per sampler:
James WHITE
Elizabeth WHITE
Names of children per sampler:

1815: James WHITE, father of Jacob WHITE died August 06, 1815 in Drumore Twp., Lancaster County, PA and was buried in Chestnut Level Lower Cemetery. His grave marker stated "age 66 years." See photos of grave marker. So James was born about 1749.

NOTE: a biographical sketch published about Hugh White (son of Thompson, Jacob, James, William) states "he traces his ancestry back to William White, who was of Scotch descent and lived in the north of Ireland. He eloped with Miss Jane CAMPBELL, who belonged to the Clan Campbell and was the daughter of a nobleman who lived in Ireland and was opposed to the marriage." I do not know if this William White married both Jane Campbell and later Margaret or if one is an ancestor of the other.

A Jane CAMPBELL is listed on http://pa-roots.com/lancaster/cemetery/chestnut.html as having died 3 Jan 1805 and Patrick CAMPBELL, died 14 Feb 1817, at 75 years of age CAMPBELL, Martha - Died Oct. 9, 1741 age 67 yrs. They are buried at the same cemetery as James WHITE below. We'd like to research the possibility that they are related. Perhaps Jane CAMPBELL is the first wife of William WHITE? Or perhaps she and Patrick CAMPBELL are cousins to our WHITE ancestors? Also tax list for Drumfore township, Lancaster county ,Pa. for the year of 1815 lists "WHITE, James Land adjoining Robert CLARK, James McPHERSON, William ANKRIM and others 82 acres" (unsure if this is MY James WHITE)
The cemetery list posted by Southern Lancaster County Historical Society, http://www.rootsweb.com/~paslchs/clpceml.html, lists numerous ANKRIM family members including a Margaret ANKRIM. Granted Margaret is a common name, but it was so common for women to marry the sons of neighboring farmers, I would like to research more about this family.
